As some of you are already aware, the Puppet Power team headed out to Burkina Faso in west Africa. The purpose of this trip was to work with the people there who are involved with the Fulani Ministries to teach them how to use puppets. We left 8 newly trained teams there with puppets and equipment and we pray that they'll be able to use them in their ministries effectively.

It started off last year in 2006 when Boureima Diallo (founder of the Fulani Ministries) was doing a sponsored bike ride around the coast of Britian. He was knocked off his bike in a village, just outside Grimsby. At the time Boureima was attending a church in Bournemouth, where the puppet team had recently visited in Jan 06. When he contacted them, he was told to get in touch with our director, Ian.
Boureima stayed with Ian and his family for a few days while he recovered, and in that time he witnessed the puppets in action at various practises and events they were doing that week. It was then when he invited the team over to Africa to work with his ministry over there.
Numerous fund raising event were arranged to enable to team to go. We have had a Sing-a-long Sound Of Music, which went really well, also a number of Joseph collections have gone towards it. We did a full sponsored 24hr puppetathon which raised over £2000
We really feel this is the way God is leading us, and that this is only the beginning. Please keep thinking and praying for us, and we'll keep you updated.
God Bless
